50 pages in and there is too much crap for me.
This is not sexy at all... And this is NOT how dom-sub relationships work.

I HATED 50 shades and this don't look much better. Not going to waste my time with this!
Life is too short to read crappy books.

After reading a lot of the reviews I was a little hesitant to read this book, but as the series progressed the praise got higher, so I figure start from the bottom and work my way up.

Lets put it this way, if this is the bottom then I have EXTREMELY high hopes for the next two books. I LOVEEED this book.

I can't fathom why people are saying that Gabe was an asshole and they hated him up until the ending, even from the beginning he came off as caring (in his own way) and attentive to her. Obviously a little stand offish, but nothing i couldn't get past. Near the ending he become drool worthy (other then a few slips..) but either way I liked him and in a way I understood where he was coming from.

And Mia ... Well forget about it. She's the perfect amount of submissive and strongly independent. She's not a weak main character which is utterly refreshing. At one point I was sitting there doubting her, thinking she was going to do the typical 'bad mistake that results in the relationship breaking & is broken beyond repair' but she didn't let me down. She can stand up for herself, but also take it lying down **wink wink**

I loooooove Ash. You don't get much of him but he's so light hearted, fun and charming you can't help but grin when he talks. I'm hoping that Fever (book #3) stays true to that.

Jace ... I wasn't emotionally invested in him either way. Caring older brother, gotta love that.

The 'twist' at the end had me literally jumping up and down and practically ripping my hair out (CAN YOU IMAGINE!!), super excited about the relationship reveal. Although it ended pretty badly, it lead up to the perfect ending we all hoped for!

I was super invested in this story, couldn't put it down! Start to finish in one day. Sex.. HOT. Relationship.. GREAT. I'm gunna have to say this takes a place as one of my favourite reads, gotta love Maya Banks, she tells a fabulously well-written story.

Well, it most certainly had a Fifty Shades feel. A contract, really? I actually burst out laughing when Jace and Ash walked in on Gabe spanking a tied up Mia, I think it was just the unexpectedness and irony of it all. Gabe irritated me more times than not by being a coward and not speaking his mind. I didn't find his character all that appealing. Maya Banks can sure right a steamy scene though, I'll be reading the next for sure.

I wish I wouldn't have put off starting this series. I couldn't put the book down. It was filled with heat and tension. Gave and Mia taught me some new things that I will never forget. I look forward to getting to know Jace and Ash.

As much as I liked this book I actually hated Gabe in this book (well for about 75% of the book) I thought he was an arrogant asshole who really drove me bonkers. The Paris trip pissed me the fuck off truly and I wanted to reach into my Kindle and punch him in the nose. I loved Mia but hated her for being so damn weak. I was totally into the story just really had a love/hate relationship with the characters in the book.

I don't think I'll ever finish this book. The first part is so terrible that I can tell what's coming and I don't want any part of it. I can't believe this book is written by the same person who wrote "In Bed with a Highlander." Are you sure???? Maybe there are two different authors by the same name. Not that Highlander was perfect, but it is a far cry from this Fifty Shades of Grey wannabe, train wreck. How in the world does this book have a 4-star rating???? Sure, it left me breathless. Breathless with horror.
