I can clearly picture my cats saying all of those things. The personification in this book Is amazing and the nouns he uses for other people are just great. I can see myself giving out copies of this book to my friends who don't understand the amazing personalities of cats!

This book could have been so much more. In the 15 minutes it took to "read" it's 130 pages, a few stills were midly entertaining — the rest was pretty drivel. Made me realize that there really is only a few panels from The Oatmeal that I'd go back to; the rest... :shrugs:

Meh. I loved the Onion's My Dog, A Paradox, so I guess I had high hopes for this book. Alas, while I did laugh out loud a couple times, most of the book was just meh. Clever and vaguely amusing as it is based on cat's, well, cattitude, it just didn't have the same impact on me as the Dog book did.

I guess I'm safe . . . for now. . .

Oatmeal comics are great in small doses, e.g., when someone posts one on your Facebook feed, but this whole book . . . eh, it had some good parts, some not-so-good parts. The cats as office workers part just didn't work for me. I'll keep watching for them online, but probably no more books.

Not that funny. At least it was quick to read.

Hot to Tell if Your Cat is Plotting to Kill You is a fluffy book. By that I mean it is fun and enjoyable but without real substance. It's not your average comic book, graphic novel, or book of poems. This book is an illustrated guide to the (psychotic) behavior of cats and what said behavior might actually mean to ones health and safety. The art-style is in the style of comic strips, the jokes and writing express a teenage humor, but can be enjoyed by adults as well. I would consider this a fun, humorous read.
