Okay so I’m gonna be the first one to admit, even though i loved him later on and loved this book; i found Raf so freaking annoying and extremely frustrating up until half way through the book

Isabella is a mafia princess in all respects. So when her former bodyguard is killed while protecting her she needs to choose a new one. Along comes Raf who had spotted her at the club during the unfortunate incident. Raf is a very tough and demanding bodyguard. He has oodles of rules and protocols he wants Isabella to follow. Things seem great until she is offered a medical internship in Rome and Raf is forced to accompany her. It’s bad for him since he didn’t leave Rome under the best circumstances and Isabella is always trying to thwart the rules. Raf was very endearing at how protective he was over her, he would try to literally destroy anyone who put a finger on her. Isabella was very annoying to me. I dislike when characters know they need to be protected and go against advice and sneak out. I do warm up towards her as their relationship develops because she is torn knowing that she wants to be with him and that she shouldn’t cross those line. These two had great banter and I enjoyed the romance between them.

I wanted so much to give this book more than 3 stars but it just wasn't doing it for me, I found myself skimming through the last couple of chapters.

The plot and chemistry between both main characters were amazing, Sienna Cross writing is amazing and I will definitely be reading her other books.

I must say that the spicy scenes were hot 🔥

Ooookay Sienna, damn you got me. This was an incredible book. Well written, interesting characters, plot depth, the list goes on…

First off, I absolutely love the FMC Isabella. She is a take no shit, do what I want, I can back myself up badass (can I swear on here?) and I am living for it. She is doing it her way and she knows what she wants and she is going to go out and take it. And when that hits the brick wall that is Raffaele… sparks. Everywhere. Their rivalry turned romance is so spicy and I love watching her push his boundaries while he tries to reign himself in.

The plot itself is twisty and I really enjoyed the variety of layers in it. Family, school, jobs, betrayal… all layered on top of each other and interwoven to make sussing out what is going on difficult.

And that ending… perfection. Can’t wait to see what they get up to in the next book.

## 📖 My Thoughts
She's a mafia princess who wants a career, he's the man assigned to protect her. He falls first for her banter and personality. She wants freedom, but realizes she puts others in danger when she tries. For a mafia book, this author focused more on the relationship aspect of the two main characters than the violence of the world, although there was plenty. I loved how through the story, the two develop a bond that makes them finally realize they love each other. The twists and turns were mildly predictable.
