This book would have gotten another star from me if the ending wasn't so obviously contrived and out-of-sync with the story developed thus far.

This one was every bit as good as Loving Eliza. There are a few more modern phrases used throughout the book, but it wasn't enough to bother me. I was too interested in the story to worry about what a more common phrase might have been in the 1880s. She spins a fantastic story, and those things just weren't worth worrying about.
