The metaphors for struggling with speech was absolutely beautiful and added a soft, lyrical quality to this gentle example of invisible disability for young readers.
The illustrations were beautiful and the art style felt so fluid and water colour in style, added more weight to the title (which was so clever).
A lovely book, showing the differences we as people have and learning to embrace them.

If you're looking for a book with some overcoming with bullying by the help of their parents as a children's book because something someone can't control, I highly recommend this book. This is the first time that I actually seen someone with a speech impediment. I don't have the same one as the main character but I still feel seen since we went through a lot of the same stuff because we can't control how our speech was/is.
