This book shows us how to have a Growth mindset. Lots of stories and examples given. The book is written well and kept me interested even if I was reading this mainly from a business growth mindset. All the sections had tidbits I could learn from.

For a more concise, less sales-pitchy version of Dweck's theory, just refer to the Wikipedia page as other goodreads reviewers have noted.

Not surprisingly, I have a fixed mindset. This book had some great eye opening tips about how to view challenges and shape ones perceptions. No doubt, it will take some practice. I certainly wish I had read this when my kids were much younger! Excellent book for teachers.

An important topic for all, especially teachers and parents--but the book was longer than I needed to understand the concept, and writing was average

This book gets 5 stars not because every paragraph of every chapter is gripping or particularly interesting, but because the core idea is so fundamentally valuable that the message is worth repeating over and over throughout the book. And that is what it delivers. The message has to be hammered into the way we think of ourselves, our successes and failures, our goals, our relationships… I cannot recommend this book enough. It changed the way I think of challenges and learning and interpersonal dynamics. I look forward to trying to implement it throughout my day to day life.

This book took me forever to read, and I finally finished by plowing through the audiobook.
Initially, I put it down because it was a gift from a workplace I burned out at… and a constant reminder that if I had a growth mindset, maybe I wouldn’t have left…
Maybe true, maybe not, but the book felt tainted by association.
Upon try #2, I appreciated the idea… fairly simple, and the numerous examples. Most helpful was recognizing I am not binary- my fixed mindset can flare up based on triggering situations- and it helps to be aware of it so it doesn’t get the better of me.
Will carry these ideas forward and continue to grow!

Great read - really made me want to change how I think, and how my kids think. Would love to read even more on this!
