Thoroughly enjoyed it but mainly because I’m biased against socialism. DiLorenzo provides many examples of the atrocities associated with this ideology despite “good intentions.” The book doesn’t really provide those who agree with DiLorenzo with any material to further strengthen arguments. Rather I see him providing the layperson with lots of facts and perspectives most likely unknown to them in order to start them thinking his way. For socialists, I don’t see them getting convinced otherwise by this text either. They’re free to their beliefs and outlooks and will most likely double down upon reading DiLorenzo’s anti-socialist presentation. It’s human nature after all.
