Wow! What a great ending to the trilogy. I really want to see a short novella of what happens after the ending of this! More detail review soon.

im sad to say that this finale to the Lost voices trilogy will be incomplete for me. this will be filed under DNF (did not finish).

this series started off so well and was sadly dissapointed with how the third and final installment dragged on unnecessarily. with the action that was happening, it was slowed down drastically by the author's need to scrutinise every character's feelings. and has made the main character Luce needy and insecure. i got about half way through.... :(

Such a shame when a good plot is ruined by irritating characters.

SO MUCH LOVE. SO PERFECT.

I'm convinced this is the only consistently good trilogy to come out of YA in the past five years.

Got this book delivered to my kindle at midnight July 2nd and just finished at 10pm July 3rd... not too shabby I'd say. Overall, I found this book to be a really great conclusion to the series, it kept with the bittersweet feeling of the story, which I was grateful for, since I was a little worried the end would be too happy and book-perfect.

That being said, I'm gunna put a SPOILER ALERT right here since there are some things I must discuss that I don't want to ruin for those who haven't read it yet. Okay here are my spoiler-ridden thoughts about this conclusion to the lost voices trilogy:
-Surprisingly, my favorite part of the book was the short little slang-filled conversation between Yuan and Luce when Yuan started calling her "general-girl" and the two exchanged such youthful banter. I don't know why, but that part just really stood out to me and stuck with me.
-At the end, I was a little sad that Luce and Dana never had any closure. I'm glad that there was a section in the middle/endish section where J'aime, Dana, and Violet were back together and Violet insisted who her queen was, but Dana had still turned her back on Luce and I was a little sad that they never had a chance to talk it out.
-Dorian, Dorian, Dorian... I really don't know how to feel about him, I pretty much loved him in Waking Storms, but I'm still not sure how I feel about him. I do think Luce made the right choice in the end though.

The third book in this series is amazing. Luce truly comes into her potential, Anais is evil and deserves everything she got, and Cat gets a happy ending. I loved all the new mermaids we got introduced to, the various heartbreaking twists, and Luce's decision in the end.

Dorian is still annoying me, and you'd think he learnt his lesson after losing Luce once. No. The moment they are even remotely back together he's just back at the turning her human thing, not caring or thinking about what Luce would want. I loved Andrew for this, because he did, but other than giving her some encouragement, he still had no point or role in this series.

Despite my occasionally harsh words, I love this series, the idea of these lost mermaids, and the stand they made. It was a pleasure to re-read their story.
